Biography

Dr. Chatelain graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Montreal in 1998 with several citations of excellence, including one in oral surgery. He obtained a multidiscipline residency certificate from McGill University in 1999 at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. He continued his training in implantology and full dental rehabilitation for another year, and was admitted as a clinician at this hospital.

Dr. Chatelain’s knowledge in implantology and general treatment has been recognized at renowned schools including the Canadian Implant Institute (2002), Académie St-Pierre (2003), the Misch Implant Institute in Detroit in complex bone grafts (2002), in tissus management (2006), and in prosthetic restorations over implants (2009). He is an active member of the Canadian Implant Institutes study group, the American Academy of Oral Implantology, and the International Congres of Oral Implantology, from which he received an honorary Fellow title.

Since 2004, he has focused his practice on dental implants and bone grafts. He founded the Quebec Dental Implant Society and co-founded the Canadian Dental Implant Society. Also in 2004 he founded his own study group in different Canadian regions and provinces, and has been teaching ever since to denturists, dentists, dental assistants and hygienists. Since 2009, he has given advanced training on surgical and prosthetic aspect of dental implants, for dental surgeons and restoring dentists.
