FAQ

Your insurance is a contract set up between you, your employer and the insurance company.  We have limited access to the details of your insurance so we recommend that you be aware of the limitations of your insurance.

Provide a copy of Tx plan suggested by DDS explain its under basic coverage. Provide Ins benefit form if we do not have the information to call their Insurance company and ask about the codes given. Bring the information to the office as to coverage breakdown. If further assistance is needed our Tx Coordinator can help them out.

Dental offices are entitled to reimbursement for services at the time treatment is provided. A dental plan is a contract between a patient and/or their dental plan carrier. As a service to patients, some offices will accept assignment of benefits whereby they agree to accept payment for the covered portion of treatment directly from the dental plan provider. Dental offices are not obligated to do so, and in some cases, are restricted from doing so as the dental plan carrier will only reimburse the patient.

This will depend on your plan coverage. Many plans will cover a percentage of costs for eligible services. For example a plan may cover 80 percent of the cost of basic/preventive services such as examinations, fillings, and cleanings. This percentage is based on the costs outlined by the plan provider and may vary from the actual costs of the treatment.

The early stages of dental disease do not have any symptoms. Dental disease is not reversible so prevention and early detection is extremely important. Your dentist is trained to catch early signs of conditions affecting your mouth to stop the progression of disease and prevent small problems from becoming larger ones.

Treatment recommendations are developed by the dentist beginning with an examination of the mouth. The dentist will examine the patient, review their health history, and discuss any symptoms or concerns the patient may be experiencing. If your dentist identifies an issue in your mouth, they will discuss this with you along with their treatment recommendations.

Questions you might ask your dentist:

  • Why are they recommending the treatment options presented—what is/are the benefit/s to your oral/overall health?
  • Are there alternative treatment options available?
  • What are the implications of refusing or delaying treatment?
  • Is there anything you can change in your mouth care to prevent similar issues in the future?
  • What is required on my part to maintain the dental treatment recommended?

We offer both oral sedation and nitrous oxide for your dental visits.

While we obviously cannot warranty your body parts, Triadent Dental promises to look after all “major” restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers and implants against breakage due to defect. In some cases fees will be credited toward replacement or alternate treatment to remedy the situation provided that you see us for your recommended cleanings and checkups for the duration of the 5 years. This allows us to monitor for minor damage and ensure that the restorations are functioning within your bite.

**This is void if regular prevention appointments are not maintained.

Your first appointment with us will take about one and a half hours. A member of our front-office team will review your paperwork and discuss the reasons for your visit, then escort you to a treatment room to meet the dentist. After discussing your medical and dental history, the dentist will conduct a thorough exam of your teeth and soft tissues. We’ll obtain X-rays and use an intra-oral camera to take pictures inside your mouth. You’ll also receive an oral cancer screening. The dentist will explain findings, answer all of your questions, and discuss therapy recommendations. You’ll leave with a plan to achieve the fantastic smile that you deserve!

We understand that many people are anxious about visiting the dentist. That’s why we’ve created a relaxing atmosphere. We’ll take the time to get to know you and understand your concerns, then alleviate your anxiety. Personal headphones are available in every treatment room to help patients relax.

We are pleased to offer our patients financing for their dental treatment through Dental Card. Dental Card is a financing company that provides flexible payment terms.  If you have concerns about being able to afford your dental treatment, please speak to one of our team members.
